My Five Changes as Principal

Mrs. Tanikawa is out sick and they have asked me to step in as principal for the day. If I were to step in as principal the first thing I would like to do is to make everyone pick up their trash. I would want everyone to pick up their own trash because everyone litter’s and don’t pick up their own trash. Another reason I would do this is because I am tired of being accused of that’s my trash or I was the one who littered “Just because it’s near me” or “You guys always sit there so it must be your trash” so I will tell everyone to pick up their trash. Additionally I will tell all teacher to not accuse any students of littering unless they have PROOF! Secondly I would let everyone play in the blacktop after our two elective class and we will have no learning to do. For example math, core and science. Nobody will be able to play any games using their iPad. My third thing I would do is to BAN all games sites. Because teachers are struggling to teach kids as they continue to play games during class. Kids are paying attention to their games when the teacher is teaching their lesson’s. The game site is foxesareamazing99.github.io.(This is actually happening in our school, please take it as a recommendation so teachers can do their job to teach kids who want to be in school.)The fourth thing I would like to do is making sure no kids waste food, or treat food with disrespect. For example throwing the food on the ground or stepping on the food intentionally. I would make sure nobody wastes food because food is something we must treat with respect no matter what. The moment you disrespect food, it would be hard to obtain food. My last thing I would like to do is a nerf battle. I would do a nerf battle because there is approximately one thousand kids and we could do an enormous nerf war in the huge campus. These are all the ideas I would do if I where the principal of the day.

Rad Reading – December

For the month of December I have been reading a book called Ryodoji sama. The author of this book is by Shinnyo-en Youth Association. This is a nonfiction book about the backgrounds of how they started building the seshin hall so that everyone could chant and do religious activities there. This book explained what they did after Kyodoin sama and Shindoin sama died. Kyodoin sama and Shindoin sama’s dad wanted a sculpture of his two boys in the new seshin hall so that he pray to them. He hires a professional to do the work but the results of the sculpture was not great so he asked to use what the professional carved, and change things up a bit so that it would look just like his son. After everything was built they explained more backgrounds of the Shinnyo members helping him build the seshin hall. When the seshin hall was close to being built shinjo ito (Kyodoin sama and shindoin sama dad) wanted to make a religious Buddha sculpture which is called the Nirvana but when he hired a professional to finish building it within five months they said it would be impossible to finish within five months and would take approximately three years to finish. But he was not ok with three years, because the seshin hall was about to be finish within five months. Shinjo Ito took a risk and built it himself. He was not a professional but was able to finish the nirvana within two months with his members help. Once everything was built Kyodoin sama’s and Shindoin sama’s sisters continued to support the religion (Buddha) and would always pray for there brothers. A great amount of time has passed, and the Buddha had grown. Lots of people joined the seshin and started practicing the religion. Tomoji and Shinjo Ito went together to there boys and they where now resting together. Mako who was close with her brother Shindoin sama, remember’s one things he asked, “Will you act in our stead?” And knows she has to carry on Shinnyo-en.

I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it because when the author includes the feelings on how the character reacts in that specific situation always makes sense! The author does not include random emotion in a bad situation that would confused you like why is he mad? Or why is he crying? Or any type’s of emotion. Not only that but Shinnyo-en Youth Association did a great job by showing us great picture’s of how the character reacted to that specific situation. If you would like a book that’s with great dialogue, emotions that can catch you onto the story read this book!

My most favorite character is Mako. Mako is my most favorite character because she is always loyal to her brother even though he is not in the world anymore. For example on page 15-17 she said ”And summer break I worked hard to deepen my prayers.”I prayed and prayed and prayed deeper and deeper and deeper for my brother”. This shows that she is loyal to her brothers because she is praying very hard and deep towards them so that one day she can get to spiritual connection with them. Also she always prays to them that she’s working harder in school.

My most favorite quote from this story is on page 94. Mako said “We can work hard so that we can give seshin one day sooner I’m sure it’ll make him very happy.” This quote is memorable to me because Mako always promised to work always harder for the seshin training so that one day she can become a leader and later on supports the whole religion. There’s a total of 258 graphics. One graphic in the story is in page 70 it was a flashback of Shindoin sama and his two sisters going to school while the bullies throwing rocks at them. The cover of the book is a picture of Kyodoin sama and Shindoin sama standing next to each other
