The Pigeon’s Life

The pigeon had just flew up the dirty building with pipes after being chased by little kids. This is the pigeon and he has a job. If you wonder what kind of job a pigeon has to do? Well he has to build and find nesting materials for his babies. He then proceeds to start finding and building the nest for his babies. He starts off by getting a leaf for his nest. The pigeon does not struggle to get the leaf, he aggressively grips the leaf with his strong beak. The pigeon is then going to fly back to his nest and start building, then find more nesting material to continue building. After building the nest, the pigeon is going to find food for his babies. He and his mating partner will switch places in staying in the nest watching out for their babies. After all the hard work of building the nest for his babies, the pigeon is going to head down the ground so that kids can feed him bread.

Rad Reading-November

For the month of November I have been reading a book called Kyodoin sama. The author of this book is by Shinnyo-en Youth Association. This is a nonfiction book about Kyodoin sama’s life, And how they originated the religion Buddha into Shinnyo teachings. The story explains some background when Kyodoin sama was born. July 29, 1934 Kyodoin sama was born! His father had just came early from work to home after his wife Tomoji had given birth to Kyodoin sama. Kyodoin sama later gets a fever due to the bad weather (Very cold, Snowy). Kyodoin sama parents goes through hardcore training in the very cold weather under the waterfall to chant. Kyodoin sama had a special power where he can take peoples suffering into himself and help cure them! Kyodoin sama is a very kind and generous person. He loved sharing! Kyodoin sama’s parents did not have enough food to put on the table, but they still remained generous to share. Kyodoin sama’s dad had to sell his camera so that he can get extra money to put food on the table. Kyodoin sama had to bear so much suffering that his little body could not withstand it. June 9, 1936 2:05 AM “what is most precious… It must be one’s beloved child”.

I really enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it because all of the actions the author expressed sounds so real! When the character showed their actions I can see him actually doing it in real life! Not only that but Shinnyo-en Youth Association did a great job by telling us how the character is like, and making it real on his actions. We can visualize the characters actions! If you would like to be a generous/kind person and know more about how the shinnyo-en teachings originate read this book! Kyodoin sama’s actions shows you how to be a generous and a kind person. And to always treat others with kindness and with generosity.

My most favorite character is Kyodoin sama. Kyodoin sama is my favorite character because he is always kind and generous to others. For example in page 84 he says “Hi here Air-pwane”. In this situation Kyodoin sama was in his playroom with his sister, when a kid joined he tried to snag a toy of from his sister. His sister did not want to share her toy doll saying “No It’s Mines”! While Kyodoin sama approached him and was very kind and generous to give his toy to the kid so that he can play with it! Kyodoin sama was ok with sharing his toys with other without being greedy. This shows how Kydoin sama is generous and kind to strangers who he does not know.

My most favorite line from the story is when Tomoji (Kyodoin sama mom) says’’But this boy is truly kind’’. ”He willingly gives his belong-ings to others”. This is meaningful to me because Tomoji is always around her son Kyodoin sama and seeing his kindness and generosity actions towards others makes her she happy! Because he’s always sharing! She would convey them to her husband. Another reason why this is a meaningful quote because it also tells me that Kyodoin sama sees sharing as happiness then seeing sharing as losing! There’s a total of 235 graphics. One graphic I can explain is in page 222 Kyodoin sama was in the afterlife saving people’s soul into the good by pulling them up the mountains so they don’t burn, the ground was on fire. The cover of the book shows Kyodoin sama shaking the religious instruments.

My Three Most Thankful People

I am thankful for many things this year, but here are the three top things. I am thankful for my mom. I am thankful for my mom because of all the support she would give me. She would make me delicious food everyday. She would make breakfast, lunch and dinner every day with love for my family to eat without starving. Not all moms would make food for their kids and their husband to eat but my mom would do that because she cares. She wants me and my family to eat healthy and to not eat unhealthy. The second thing I am thankful for is my dad. I am thankful for my dad because he always supports my family financially, and would always spend time with my family no matter what. Not all dads would spend time with their children, but my dad would always spend time with us. Lastly I am thankful for my brother. I am thankful for my brother because he would always help me with my schoolwork when I needed help or had any confusion. Also my brother would always play with me when I wanted to play with him. Not all brother would want to play with their younger brother but my brother would play with me instead of hiding in his room. Not all brothers cares to be with their little brother but my brother does.

My Three Wishes

If you had been given three wishes, what would you ask for? First, I would wish for unlimited money. I would wish for unlimited money because I would be able to buy anything I desire, such as nice houses and cars. I would also use that money to give to my parents. Secondly, I would wish for that all of my family’s members life’s cannot die. I would wish for myself and my family members to be able to have this body because we would never die. Additionally I would want to have this wish because I can see my family members forever without losing any love ones. The last wish I would grant is to be able to have superpowers. I would want superpowers because I would able to fly, super speed, super strength, x ray vision, and breathe underwater. These are really useful/fun abilities that can one day save myself or even help save others.
